Please join us on Tuesday, February 7 (note 1 week earlier than usual due to Valentine's Day), in the Heritage Room at BridgePort BrewPub as we welcome Kevin Chow, Director of Search Marketing at Webfor, and David Portney, Senior SEO Manager at 3Q Digital, who will be presenting "SEO For 2017 & Beyond".
This will be a 2-part presentation. David will be sharing real-world strategies, tools, & tactics based on years in the trenches of enterprise-level SEO. Don’t expect “SEO magic fairy dust” that you can sprinkle on your website for instant SEO success (spoiler: that doesn’t exist) nor “black hat” techniques that will get you banned from Google; instead, David will make sure you walk away with hands-on strategies you can start using right away.
Kevin will be discussing what we've been told, what has been working, and where the future of local search is moving. Kevin will share his thoughts on Data Aggregators that provide value and answer questions people have been roadblocked. Did you know the centroid isn't always located downtown? Why are you not rankings for your virtual location?
David Portney started doing SEO as a hobby in 2008 and became a professional SEO in January 2010 with a Vancouver, WA company focused on SEO for small businesses. He then moved to enterprise-level SEO work with Portent, Inc. headquartered in Seattle 2 years later. After 3 years with Portent, David now works as Senior SEO Manager for 3Q Digital based in Silicon Valley. Kevin Chow started as a Web Designer back in the late 90’s. While attending College, he was given the opportunity to learn SEO while being a web designer for an outdoor store in 2002. In under three months, Kevin was able to outrank REI for 70% of their key-terms. Kevin is currently the Director of Search Marketing at Webfor, where he lives and breathes Local and Technical SEO.
